Our Story

HOW IT ALL STARTED

HOW WE METWE SWIPED RIGHT

Our story began on October 3rd, 2021, when we first matched on a very popular dating app (yes, it works!). What started as casual messages quickly turned into late-night conversations, shared laughs, and a connection that felt easy and natural. After a week of nonstop texting and talking on the phone, we decided to meet in person – and on October 11th, we had our very first date at Stir in downtown Charlotte. From the moment we saw each other, it was love at first sight. That date was filled with warmth, excitement, and the unmistakable feeling that something truly special had just begun.

OUR JOURNEY SO FARMILES, MOMENTS & MEMORIES

Our journey together has been nothing short of incredible. From spontaneous weekend getaways to quiet nights in, we’ve built a love grounded in friendship, trust, and laughter. Like any meaningful story, ours has had its share of ups and downs – but each challenge only brought us closer and reminded us why we chose one another. Together, we’ve grown, supported each other’s dreams, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Every step along the way has led us here, to this moment – and we couldn’t be more excited for the next chapter.

THE ENGAGEMENTSHE SAID YES

On May 9, 2024 – Chike’s birthday and now one of the most unforgettable days of our lives – he asked Keisha to marry him. The moment took place at Romare Bearden Park, the very same spot where we shared our first kiss. With the Charlotte skyline behind us and our favorite memories all around, Chike got down on one knee and asked the question that would change everything. And with a joyful yes, our next chapter officially began – full of love, laughter, and a promise to walk through life together, hand in hand.
